FAGETABOUTIT!

I actually got some sleep again last night and did not even wake up until 7:40!  Usually I'm in the barn before that.  The lack of wind made it very pleasant.

 Gray, grey, and gray.
Jenny and Karen came up to make Swedish cookies.

I'll bet that Inger knows what they are....
"Vordags."  Simple and yummy!  It's going to be very hard to leave them alone.
The sun eventually came out and it was gorgeous.

 AND NOW FOR AN ANNOUNCEMENT.....
Due to the inability to shake our chest colds in time (along with coughing and germs), the annual Skoog Farm Christmas Eve Smorgie has been postponed until the 30th.  HUMBUG!!!!! That's a first!  By then, we had better be feeling pretty chipper and hope to pick up some guests who will be out of town tomorrow (but should be back by then).

Sidney helped me with chores tonight.

I love the fact that we are picking up several minutes of light now.  It makes a difference.
Tucked in my girlies and went back in the house for dinner.
I made Johnnie Cake, salad and warmed up the Italian Wedding Soup Jen brought yesterday.

By now, I'll bet most of you are ready for this very busy season.
Enjoy!
Night all.

  1. Dinner looks good. I'm SO glad you are starting to feel better! Hugs to you and Gary, Abbe and Berlin, Gucci and Phoebe and the cats (if I try to name them, I'll leave one out for sure). Love that snow -- it really looks like Christmas at Skoog Farm.

  6. Your photos are just terrific, as always. And thanks for the recipe for Vordags ... complete with Oleo Marg. Haven't seen that in a long time. Hope you are better soon. Now, one more time ... I love your barn! When was it built? Have a wonderful Merry Christmas.
