A Mellow Christmas Day

We got a little more snow last night...just enough to make many people happy that wanted it for Christmas.

No days off when you have animals.  We did our thing.
 They are worth it....

Went down to Jenny's mid morning for breakfast.  Of course the boys made out like bandits!

 They were busy and quiet!

When they got a call from their neighbor, they were off and running.

We got home before noon and it was crash time.  I took a good nap.  Hopefully this extra sleep is going to help me get over this ridiculous cold.  My sides hurt from coughing.

Chores at 5.

I could not ask for two more cooperative and sweet girls.

Taaaaa Daaa.  No cooking for dinner, we had leftovers.

 Back to normal tomorrow?
Night all.

  3. Rain here last night so we sloshed and slid our way through morning chores. No time off with animals is right. Worth it is right too. Smiles.

  4. Sounds like a wonderfully relaxed Christmas day. Sorry to hear you're suffering from a cold. Hope you feel better very soon! Loved watching Abbey enjoying her treat. She looked very pleased with whatever it was! :) It always makes me smile to see animals enjoying their food. Leftovers are great, aren't they? Getting to skip cooking is a gift in itself! Those tomatoes caused me to drool just a little, a reminder of our summer garden...long gone now.

  7. Oh Lori, I hope you get the healing rest you need soon - colds are so...so... icky and crappy, esp. when you need to socialize!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and thank you for taking the photos that you did, even though youre not feeling good, because they really do capture what this holiday is all about ;)

    hugs!
