FAMILY

 Yep....
These two wicked ponies have been dropping ALL their manure and pee in the run-in.
It's a river every morning.  Today we cleaned it out and covered the area with old hay.
The mess will end up being even bigger...what a drag.
On the way over to the pool this morning it started to rain.
I went anyway.  After about half an hour I got out as it kept getting darker and
the wind was picking up.  Got out just in time for a huge downpour.
Had a nice visit with Jill this morning.  She stopped over with Chester to deliver a bag of cat food
for her girls Lily and Sophie.
Do you remember Chester (a rescue).  He now has good weight and his coat came back.
They left with a bag full of greens.

Had lunch and started getting ready for company.

My brother, sister-in-law, their daughter and son-in-law and two children were taking a ride up from the Chautauqua area to spend some time with Ariana and Daniela.
 A rare family get together.
We jabbered, played Sequence, checked out the horses and more.

Daniela has turned into a real horse nut.
Ariana took this photo of Gannon....I think it was the best shot of the day.
His older brother (4) had no trouble reading an entire Sharon Creech book to us.  Just a
little impressed!

We had a great picnic dinner and my pictures were a bomb.

By the time they left, there were two very tired little boys. What a great day.
Night all.

  2. What a wonderful day you had! I'm looking forward to the chaos that comes with grandkids. It's too quiet here! Brett made it to the meeting place in Utah. He said it was 115F going across the desert in Nevada.

  4. What a wonderful family get-together! Those little boys were probably asleep by the time their dad reached the end of your driveway! Have a great day, Lori. Blessings, Jo

  5. Always nice to catch up with family members.

So glad to see how Jill's TLC has made Chester into a happy/healthy pup.

  6. It's nice that you got to have more family get together. My brother just visited for two days... don't you wonder why we all don't do it more often. He's only 200 miles away.... a very easy drive for us around here.
