ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!

Chores, swimming, Agape (I finally was able to pedal the whole way around on the bike), Wegmans and back to the farm.
THERE WERE 7 MESSAGES ON THE PHONE.
That never happens.  5 of them from Gary.
He decided to go play a little tennis with some friends (has not played in over 25 years) and ended up tearing his achilles tendon.  I did not get the messages until he was on his way home from the emergency room at 12:30.  Just what we all needed.  We are the dynamic duo, not capable of putting out 100% between us.  And on top of that, it's too darn hot out.  What's next?
It looks like me and my cane are going to be on our own for quite awhile.
I took pity on the ponies and fed them hay near the fan.

Then it was Louise and Jack to the rescue.  They called to see if we wanted to go out to dinner and got the scoop on Gary.  They were kind enough to bring up a gigantic meatball sub, makings for a salad, cherries and a couple of eclairs.  (Wine too).  So we ended up with a great meal.
We have the best friends.

Just before they left, Jenny stopped in with some goodies and dumped the wheelbarrow for me.
That is one thing that is still difficult.
Back to the drawing board.
Night all.

  3. Oh no! Just what you don't need! Wish I could help out with barn chores.

  4. You have got to be kidding!! This is not good, not good at all. Achilles tendons take a long time to heal. Brett wants to know if he needs to fly out and help with chores. (I told him not while his wife can't walk).

  5. Wow. Not what you needed right at this moment while you are healing. I feel so bad for Gary's pain if the above comment is right on the healing time. Bummer summer for sure. Maybe there is a teen nearby you could hire for an hour or two a day to help out? I'd gladly take your heat. Our furnace runs at night it's so chilly!!!

  9. I can't believe this. If it wasn't for bad luck you'd have no luck at all. Hope Gary heals quickly. You sound like you're making great progress though.

At least you got to take a swim in this heat. I wish it would end already.

The last think I needed to see on my diet was that eclair you know...

  10. Lori/Gari - What rotten luck! Troubles never come singly, do they?
