THE SKOOG FARM WORKSHOP ART EXHIBTION

This is year 10 for the Skoog Farm Workshop Exhibition.  For several years I have invited past students and local artists to join us, as their work needs to be seen.  Currently I have 8 in my class and three guest artists. Many thanks to Tina Eibl, Sandy Clark, Deb Talley, Jean Sauberan, Donna Mancuso, Dick Fry, Mary Welch, Judy Perkins, Connie Bonner and guest artists Brenda Cretney, Al Cretney and Tom Bonner for making it a great opening.
The photos you are going to see will give you a preview of the show.  Just ignore the reflections and odd framing as I was too busy to take my time.

Sally H.

 Sandy C.

Deb T. is working on Part 2 of a book on family history.

We're happy to have Sandy back in class.

Al brought many of his carvings.  Check out the paint job on those feathers!

Of course we had lots of healthy food....cheese, crackers, grapes, nuts, apricots, yogurt covered raisins and lots of cookies.....and punch.  The beautiful centerpiece was created by Donna.

There were several miniature paintings around....

All of these drawings were by Donna M.

These four were done by Connie B.

The next 5 watercolors were by Brenda C.

 Judy P. drew these three.

This was Mary W's first contour line drawing of a still life.  I love it.

The next 4 photographs were by Tom B.  (Connie's talented husband).

Dick F. just returned to class and had time to complete this painting.

The woman on the left is Kendra, who was in my class for years and has moved out of state.  We were very happy to see her at the opening.

 Another mini....

 Brenda and Connie

Tina brought beautiful flowers from her garden.

Jenny and Mary Pat.  There's a story here.....  Mary Pat was Jenny's first grade teacher!

The next body of work is by Tina E.

Jean S. brought in a rack of her cards made from her drawings and photographs.

 Helen and John.

 Eunice.

Tina's new neighbors (who bought Kendra's house).

 Dick F.

 John and Jenny.

Can you see that quilt in the background?
My students created it many years ago and we hang it at every show.

 Deb, Brenda, Al and Dick.

Helen (well known artist from Brockport and good pal)...and there's Tina again.

Amy talking to Roger with Sally in the background.

 Tina's pals.

 Kendra and Rosie.

 Kathy and Deb.

 in serious conversation?

Most of the students I have had over the years are retired.  Teachers, librarians, accountants, college profs and the list goes on.  Everyone of them has been a pure pleasure as they want to be here and most of them have had little experience with art.  As you can see, they have blossomed.
Hope you enjoyed the show!
