DID THIS EVER HAPPEN TO YOU????

I have a Canon PowerShot SD 1400 IS and take thousands of photographs that are normally great.
For the past two days 75% of them come out like this.  I have checked the battery and the card...nothing seems to make a difference.

I suppose it's time for a new camera.  I'm on my 3rd replacement, as two others would have spots show up in the photographs.  The first was purchased 4/11.  Has anyone else experienced this?  When it is working, the quality has been outstanding.

  1. It looks like it's over exposing. Are there any manual settings that may have been 'turned on' or changed?

  2. I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but I do love the ghostly effect!

  3. You work your cameras pretty hard, so while it would seem like 1 year isn't much to get out of one, you probably pack about 3 years of pics into that year...

  4. Lori, as you may recall, I have the same camera, and I am having the same thing happen too--Although it's not as frequent, only occasionally. I've thought maybe it was just the lighting, but I don't think that's it at all. I agree, 'we' may be needing a new camera. If you don't mind, can you let me know if it's fixable? I hope you're doing well, and are enjoying your weekend!!

  5. Lori, it looks as though the lens is open too wide, and cannot auto adjust, Is it any better with inside photos?Do you have an idea of how many photos it has taken? And is it better later in the day when it is warmer? Not much help, I know.Hope you get it fixed? adjusted? a NEW ONE ??? Cheers from Jean.

  6. The sensor in one of my digital cameras went bad and the pictures looked similar with the lines and faded appearance. When it started going, it went quickly and it was too costly to have it repaired. It was not a Canon though. Maybe a cleaning would suffice.

  8. I have this camera too, and it has just started acting funky. I thought it was me.
