The day this neck of the woods has been waiting for....
...the first of several that are supposed to be over 60 degrees.
Took the sheets off the girls and fed them in the sunshine.
Gary helped me clean stalls and then I went out to pick pastures.
(The kitchen has more color now....)
By mid afternoon Belle, Berlin and Abbe had all rolled and were filthy.
At 2, Deb, Janice and Judy came up for drumming.
We continued to watch the video I got from Khalid and got in a pretty good practice.
I made a simple dessert. Cake-like brownies in a pie plate and served it with some whipped cream. Because of the different format, they thought it was some special cake. Ha!
After they left (4:30ish), I hit the couch in the living room and enjoyed the sunshine.
Before I knew it, the sun started to go down and it was after 6. This time change takes a little getting used to.
Let's see if I can be on the right schedule tomorrow.
Don't they look lovely?
It took me awhile to remove the layers of mud.
Sidney, my wannabebarn kitty, always keeps me company.
Tonight he actually let me pick him up and is here in the house. During the cold weather, he would just take off to one of his hideouts. When he did come in, he would sack out for 5 or 6 hours.
Go figure. This week, I'll bet all the cats will be content to be out on the back porch.
In by 7:45.
I made a carrot/apple/raisin salad and leftovers from Jenny's dinner last night.
Delish.
Night all.
I march to your drum!

ReplyDeleteYay for sunshine and mud!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous day you had - sounds like a great week ahead for your muddy horses - ho! Thanks for reminding me of carrot/apple/raisin salad - think we'll have that tonight!
ReplyDeleteThose are some muddy buddies...
ReplyDeleteI just have to go ahead and ask- how do pick a pasture?
ReplyDeleteOh Belle!!! Enjoy that mud bath!
ReplyDeleteI bet the warmth from the sun felt so good! Oh my... those are big animals to have to clean everyday.
ReplyDeleteMy girls are just as muddy and SO happy! I have to admit that I don't mind cleaning them when the weather is like this. And no flies yet - we're all enjoying that as much as the warm sunshine. Ah Spring!
