TURN OFF MY RADIO AND LISTEN...

 Yep.  Same old.
You can't say that Abbe is not consistent.  Gets filthy every day.
The bird gets more beautiful everyday.
Took a quick shower and got to chorus early.  Needed to play my drum for a Barbershop number
(The Lion Sleeps Tonight).

We had a performance tonight and were only able to practice a couple songs this morning.  Needed to make sure we knew what we were doing.
Woody and his guitar make a big difference.

Maryellen was pretty frustrated for part of the rehearsal.
This afternoon Gary had a dump truck full of leaves delivered by the village.  Quite a pile.
Had to visit my Doctor today....two weird things going on.    Before I left, opened up the gate for Dancer and Harley so they could have an hour of grass.

Nothing alarming....I may have torn a muscle in my right leg (outside of my thigh) but it doesn't hurt.  Crazy.

On the way home, the beautiful sky made an appearance.

Got home just before sunset.  Jill had chore duty.
I quickly scrambled some eggs and we were off to the college for a 6pm run through.

The space was fine and the piano was perfect.
Woody needed help with his bow tie.
Where there are drums, you can expect the Pied Piper.
The Processional...a performance by a group from Sankofa.

Followed by more music to my ears.
Can you see why I love drumming?

 Jenny was able to attend....
This was a "Celebration of Gratitude"...part of a challenge put out by President Obama.  400 colleges across the United States participated.
Everyone brought something for the Food Shelf.
Two college students hosted the event....
and local clergy members participated throughout.
Dr. Katy Wilson (Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs) gave the official welcome address and it was perfect!  I was so impressed with her message.
The College at Brockport Gospel Choir sang...I could get into that.

We were the last to sing, then Sankofa led us out of the Ballroom and into the lobby.  They continued to play and we all were very happy to listen.
Khalid said that he thought Alice (my drumming/chorus buddy) and I could have played.  Someday.......

We were home before 8:30 and I just missed my favorite Rachel Crow on X Factor.
Night all.

  2. Oh, and in answer to your question: Jackson needs stall rest when he loses a shoe on the front because that is where he gets/got the concussion laminitis. I'm trying to prevent a repeat performance on that front. When he is in the pasture, he plays hard. And the ground is hard pack clay. We don't have nice soft grass like you.
