Chore duty with Jill this morning. It was fareeezin! There was a very heavy frost....
it almost looked like light snow.
It didn't feel like it to me, but the temperature actually hit 50 later on.
I can count on Lily every morning. She knows if she sits in this chair on Gary's barn porch....the sun will warm her up. And it did.
Gary had duty outside of the college's football field. The Alumni give away (yes for free) hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies to anyone who wants them. It's funny, many who walk by do not trust that this is for real. Not only did they serve Brockporters, they also were happy to serve visitors supporting Cortland (the opposition for today). Another great example of community.
Today girls from the gymnastics team were volunteering as part of their community service, along with several alumni. I went there for lunch before going to drumming.
A lot of construction has been going on in that area. We are going to have one amazing venue when it opens in July.
I see gigantic concerts in the future....
There were a lot of us at drumming today. Fred and Greg....
That's Khalid hiding in the shadows. What can I say? The light asked me to take a picture.
It's nice to see Stan, now that he has returned from his travels.
We had some good moments, and some that could have been improved upon....but let me tell you, there is nothing like the way it feels when we are all "on." Thank you Khalid for your patience.
By the time we finished around 4:30, the sky was still brilliant.
When I got home the ponies were in their usual late afternoon spots....eating hay.
Tucked them in around 6:30 and it was almost dark. Tomorrow they will be going in at 5:30.
Lily said "see ya," and
the pups and I went back to the house...a nice fire was going in the kitchen.
Sidney decided it was time to come home for some food and attention. Where does that go for 2 or 3 days at a time? Maybe he is upstairs in the hay loft with Sophie.
Night all.
Your pasture picture looks like ours in Washington State the last couple of days...bbbrrrrrrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteCold here this morning too with frost and warmed up to 50 later on. Great pictures. Love your new header picture, how beautiful.
ReplyDelete25 sounds c-c-cold. Love cute Abbe over the fence, and the light on the drums. I'm a sucker for light.
