THIS morning was another beauty.
THAT cat of Jill's was in the grooming room.
She stuck her tongue out at me!
Sweet Sophie wanted some attention.
Went to Chorus for a 10 o'clock rehearsal. Three new people joined us...all ringers. Woody (who helped Gary paint the house) brought his guitar....Greg was on the piano and we were cookin'. There were at least 50 of us and Maryellen could not believe how things were sounding. Next week I will take two of my drums and Greg (who joined today and is also in my Saturday drumming group) will bring his bongos for a Jamaican song were are singing.
As soon as I got home, did some lawn mowing. The grass was such a rich green (and we don't put a thing on it...no sprays no nothin'...who wants all that chemical stuff dragged all over the house, impacting the dogs, cats and us).
This is my kind of weather. Crisp, sunny and energizing.
So, I picked all the pastures.
In the late afternoon, Gary loves to sit in the sun and read the paper.
We had an early dinner.
Salad and leftover stuffed peppers.
By the time we were finished, Barb came over to pick up some hay (we store it for her). It was good to see her...I loved doing chores together.
Ahah! A Lily siting.
So, we threw down a truck load of bales and Barb was off.
A little before 7 I went out to put the ponies in. We may have a frost tonight.
Just one OTHER THING....by the time I finished, the moon was begging me to take a picture.
Love the golden glow of your morning -- and the kitties are so cute.
ReplyDeleteFYI -- the chick in my post today was hatched by a turkey hen who doesn't know how to take care of him, so I brought him inside for awhile. :)

Your photos are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour barns are amazing...and the next time you have stuffed peppers I'll fly over for dinner! LOL
I was going to say the same thing - love that golden light, and the shadow of the windmill on the indoor.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you on the haiku challenge!
Love your pictures...you can feel fall...cool and crisp.
ReplyDelete"Hello Abbe"...the kitties seem at home...very cute.
A fall moon...but not a warm harvest moon.
From sunrise to moonrise, beautiful, beautiful day. L. was sitting out in the sun reading his paper today, too, just like Gary.
ReplyDeleteLove your golden photos. Your meals always look so inviting.
ReplyDeleteI love when kitties leave their tongue out, when horses visit, when friends are like YOU!

It looks like you had a beautiful day. Gary looks comfortable in the sun with his paper. We've got the wood stove going for the first time this season but no frost in the forecast yet.
ReplyDeleteThe moon shine on the barn roof is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to dip to 32 on Saturday night. That will be our first frost - hard to believe it!
Dear Lori and Gary - so glad for your blog and views of life back in Brockport. We are now in Asbury Park, NJ, and miss upstate very much - especially the cool weather and the color change. You give me a taste of "home". Mary & Rosemary
ReplyDeleteI like the photo of the cat in the grooming room - right place for her - cats do a lot of grooming.
