No rain today, but the winds were WILD!
All my assistants joined me for chores.
I wonder what the temperature was....
Fall has fell and some of the trees are full of color while others have no leaves at all.
Somehow these cone flowers have held on.
Met Judy C. down at Java for lunch...of course I had the usual...a Greek Panini.
I have been talking about Steve and Sandy coming to Brockport to open up a restaurant (from the Carlton) and today was their first day to start working on the space. Gary and I went over to help them for awhile. He is painting the kitchen and I broke down the tables. It was really weird....out of the blue, this restaurant closed and everything was left in place. The tables were still set and you could seem them from the street below. It's been 5 years. It's a very cool space and I predict it will become one of the finest spots in the area.
Steve was busting his butt in the kitchen....I overheard him singing "I love my equipment." He is going to end up with a fabulous work space but it's going to take a lot of elbow grease.
Hopefully they will be open at the beginning of November.
Got home in time to start making things for bridge tonight.
Out to do evening chores around 6:15. The girls had braved the wind long enough.
Can you see how quickly the clouds were passing by?
Set out the goodies for bridge and we played until 10:45.
Tired....
Night all.
What a wonderful place...like a ghost town, every thing frozen in time. I wish them much success.
ReplyDeleteI don't know a thing about bridge but those goodies could make me learn the game.
The wind was something...blowing down leaves and tipping over potted plants.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting to have Steve in town. Should be lovely...I'm thinking...Crab Cakes!
Strange about the vacated restaurant - there's a story there, for sure. And the wind -- oy oy oy -- such wind!
ReplyDeleteWe've been experiencing the horrid wind as well. Has been making for interesting rides thats for sure.
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the restaurant. Wonder what could have happened. Good luck to your friends!
Enjoyed your pictures.....the fall leaves are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe dining room colors in the restaurant reminded me of your leaf photographs.
I wouldn't mind a bite of the Greek Panini! LOL
I'm impressed that you play bridge. My sister plays, competitively, and it seems to me to be a very complicated game.
ReplyDeleteI posted the recipe for tomato jam on the tomato jam blog - at the bottom. It's crazy easy and soooo good.
