An ok morning, until I felt like chores was one big hot flash. The humidity was a 63% by 7:30. Did you hear that Annette out in California.... where it's only 15%??????
Abbe was still favoring her right hind....had her boot on.
Sally stopped in and I loaded her up with tomatoes and peppers....a little Italian parsley, basil.....
She was going home to change her clothes and make sauce.
I made potato salad.....
Then I had my tomato sandwich for lunch....on homemade sourdough bread.
The boys came up for the afternoon. Never did get a shot of Cooper...he was out in the barn with Gary getting set up with a tool box. He wanted some tools and he got 'um.
Before Jill did chores I soaked Abbe's foot. It took awhile to get her to put it down.
Look who showed up in the tack room. Seymour and Sidney...and Sidney was VERY hungry. Stole some food.
I don't know where he disappears to...for almost 3 days. At least he knows where home is.
Tonight, the last concert was held at the Welcome Center. Turn off my radio so you can hear the music.
All ages were there.
The name of the band is Smooth Grove. The sax player is a friend, Mark Ketchum (he is in at least 3 bands)...don't know the other guys.
What I do know...it's one great band!
Judy (my art student, drum buddy and chorus member) was there. She knows what's good.
The sky was magical.
Remember Ulpi?
and this guy slept through most of it.
Mary Pat and Scott showed up.
So did Pam K. Her Mom is Sally. Pretty soon you will know all my friends.
When I wasn't looking, Greg arrived. I think I am going to do a series of photos from the back.
Roger, Tina (ace photographer) and DJ were there. A nice ending to the Thursday Night Concert series.
Home before dark and tucked those ponies in. Feeling pretty good.
Night all.
Glad you're feeling better, Lori. Looks like a lovely day except for the humidity.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hear you. :) We have low humidity but you have beautiful green pastures and magical skies. Your potato salad looks wonderful - I could use some of it right now.
ReplyDeleteWe have live music downtown as well. I think it might be every night? Not sure. I don't go downtown...lots of drunks staggering out from under the bridge. They've worked really hard to clean it up for the tourists, but people come in from the villages and live on the streets drinking. I just don't like to take my kids around it. I should try and hit at least one night before it's over. (Nice that you still have such warm weather).
ReplyDeleteSmooth Grove and the river in the back....GORGEOUSLY TAKEN, Lori!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, its very humid even in sweet Tuscany, mia cara....even a little autumn touch in the air....!!!!
Hot, yes....I love it!!
Wonderful shots of the backs.....good Idea...: PROJECT BACK SHOTS...!!!
Sunny & dry weekend....cara amica!!
ciao ciao elvira
We're right back up there with you and the heat/high humidity...blech!
ReplyDeleteFall, where are you!?
The concert was fantastic..thanks for the video.
Nice job with the duct tape and the vet wrap. That should last a while, unless Abby is one of those who just loves to take off her carefully constructed shoes.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLove that foot tapping!
Also love the idea of photos-from-the-back.
I have a "fitted" soak boot that works great. The blue plastic ones. Put the epsom salts in the bottom, add hot water, stick the foot in and cinch it up.
