TRANSITION....AHHHHHH

Before I went out to the barn, the town came along with their equipment and picked up all the brush we have been gathering.  It was another grey and chilly morning so I left the sheets on the horses.

Fortunately, we did not have rain.  Things have been so saturated, we needed this break.
So lucky to have that back pasture that drains well.
Roll...roll...roll.  Everyday.  A filthy sheet contest.

Finished chores, took a shower and went down to chorus....
for one CRAPPY rehearsal.  We just couldn't do anything right and there are two performances tomorrow.
Many of the trees in the village were in full bloom....beautiful.

When I got home, decided to make some split pea soup.

Served it with a big salad...red romaine, onion, pears, strawberries and crumbly blue.

 Simple and yummy.

Went out to do chores at 7.
It was the lightest part of the day.

The pups were all muddy, but loved being out there without getting soaked.
L'orange Marmalade was waiting for us on the back stoop....hungry.

Done....
Night all.

  2. Yea for no rain!! Now I hope you get some sunshine and warm temperatures. Do you have to pay to have them pick up your brush or is it a city service? Here there are dumpsters at the transfer sites you can put it in for free or you can haul it to the dump and pay a fee. Many people pile it up and burn it in early spring or during the winter.

  3. Who's a handsome boy? My L'Orange, that's who!

Isn't there a saying about bad dress rehearsal, good performance?

  5. Dont horses just love to find the wetest mud to roll in? And why do they stand in the rain when there is a wonderful barn to go in? Goofs. I never understood that when I had horse years ago. I think they get muddy so we will groom them more, mine loved the attention. Thanks for sharing your beautiful animals.
