GOOD DAY SUNSHINE...

 Wake up!
Can you feel the light?
So much to do...
just two more days.
Company is coming
Lizzie and her dog Fred
all the way from Pennsylvania
Going to see Sankofa.
Drumming, dancing
a full house
again.

Baaa Booom!
The temperature dropped.
30 degrees colder than yesterday.

 Sheets on.

Eventually the ponies came in to snack on hay.

The sun made L'orange more orange.

Time for class with Tina and Mel.
Still too cold to be out in the Studio.

The tulips Deb and Tom brought Saturday night add so much to a room.
The yellow are in the kitchen where there is more light and they are closed.  The ones in the dining room (much darker) are open.  Go figure.

Time for our monthly dinner.
But no Ann and Ron.
Who will be there?
Roger and Tina.....
Coming in through the back door.

Barbequed chicken, coleslaw
and more surprises.
I'm getting hungry...
Brenda, is it ready yet?
Al said..."soon."

 Tomato/Maz...
 Cheese and crackers...
 Different cheese....different crackers.
Tina and Roger brought a beautiful hydranga.
 Let the chowing begin.....
 Chatter, then dinner.
 Parsnips, asparagus and cherry tomatoes.
 Coleslaw.
 Chicken.
 Baked potatoes.
Served in the dining room next to a sideboard full of Al's carvings.
A feast.  What a blending of flavors.
Dessert...chocolate fudge brownie, ice cream and whipped cream.  Decadent.
Up to the Studio for a look.  Tina had never seen it.  Above is one of the birds Al is working on.
 And another.
 Brenda's painting of Tootsie.
Brenda and Al share this studio.  An ideal space that would encourage anyone to work.
Tootsie Louise is now almost 1 year old.  All grown up and a real sweetheart.
Before we left, Al showed us the bird he is going to enter in the world show.
He has mastered the painting of feathers.
Roger (our techie expert) had some ideas for Brenda regarding the tv set up.
By 9:30 we were all ready to go home.  Pure pleasure.  Good food and good friends.
Night all.

  1. Beautiful day, beautiful pictures!

Have you noticed the sprig of green hanging over Abbe in the header pic. Looks like mistletoe. (I know it isn't but...love it.)
