GOT A MINUTE OR 40?

Be prepared...today I made up for the past few when I did not take very many pictures.

Below are my sunrise shots (Skywatch Friday) from this morning....I'll start from there.

Pretty chilly...in the 20s.

Another solo in the chore department.  Did not take very long this morning.

The paddock was still a disaster, so I put their hay out in the side pasture.

Abbe came back (as usual) to see if there was anything good to eat in the run-in.

Got back in the house and took a nice HOT shower, before loading up the dogs and heading down to ONCE IMAGINED to do a photo shoot.

Charlene and Steve have done a great job decorating their shop for the Holidays.  I took many pictures and will give you just a preview.

Before I got started, Phoebe and Gucci had their pictures taken.  They are doing free Victorian photographs for anyone who brings in their dog.  I have not seen the ones Charlene took yet...the pups were into their best posing mode when the bell rang on the front door.

If you are looking for a unique Christmas present for someone, this is the place to go.

From Tiffany lamps to Teddy Bears...there is something for everyone.

Looking for a rug?  or a bed frame?

Maybe a set of dishes....

or a nice mirror....

This lucky cat was rescued by Charlene yesterday...definitely a life changing experience.  She just needs a name.  (Notice the Victorian collar).

Doesn't every shop need an upside down Christmas Tree?

Below is Charlene...1/2 of the imaginement.  She and Steve must have worked non stop for months to set up this place!

Phoebe and Gucci (perfect little angels) waited patiently while I took many pictures!

Next stop...Country Treasures (to check out some sales).

By now it was after 1pm and I still had more stops to make.  My car was parked in front of Main Street Pizza, so I went in and got the special for lunch.

Phoebe and Gucci ate the crust.

Then I went to the Morgan Manning House for Candlelight Christmas...another photo shoot.  When I parked my car, this sweet little flower was popping through the snow.

Every year this event is held as a fundraiser for the historical society.

There were hundreds and hundreds of handmade items, including homemade candies and baked goods.

This sale will go on for three days and it is very well attended.  It really puts you in the Holiday spirit.

Last stop...Wegmans.  26 people for a potluck dinner tomorrow night...my art students past and present.  I'm going to make a big pot of meatballs.

Before I left the store, Jen called and wanted me to help her out with some furniture rearranging.  She switched her dining room and study/library/living room (whatever).

What an improvement.  Now they will start using this room a lot more.

I was home for about an hour...that late afternoon sun told me I had better get down to the college for First Friday.

Of course I had to grab a few shots along the way.

This was going to be a very special First Friday, as it was in honor of Sandra Cain...who was retiring.
You have to love this woman!  She created all the costumes for Sankofa (and the rest of the Dance Department)...how they will survive without her I will never know.  Let me show you some of her outstanding efforts.

Many of her colleagues came out to honor her.

That's Sandy, on the left.  Such talent!

If it isn't Topper taking a picture of me taking a picture of him....

There was great food and drink....

Flowers and friends...

Gary started these First Fridays a couple of years ago, and really enjoys hosting them.

Got home in time to do chores and now it is almost 5 hours later.  Whew.

Night all.

  1. Lori, what a day and where to begin? First, looks like there was some sun on the pasture this morning. Great way to start the day. I would have enjoyed all your wonderful stops today. The doggies are adorable and I bet their victorian photos will be great. Love those santa ornaments-so cute. Always great to honor a retiree and celebrate all they’ve done. Hope you had a wonderful evening too. Always enjoy your days :)
