Barb got out to the barn before me and had the horses all grained.
By the time I got to Masterpiece's stall, the sun was coming through the window....It did not take us long to get everything done.
Almost everyday, Abbe comes back into the barn to see if she can sneak in and look for leftovers.
The rest of the herd stays out in the pasture...our grass is so short now.
Today Seymour and Sid joined Barb and me out in the pastures while we picked them. Usually they don't wander out so far.
Gar finished putting the third DUMP TRUCK of leaves on the gardens and left for coffee around 10:30. I went down to Wegmans to pick up some groceries and a turkey for Thanksgiving.
Got home with just enough time to take a shower....drumming day at the college.
We practiced some old stuff and learn some new....
We practice in the Rose Strasser Dance Studio, which has huge windows. The sun was shining it's beams on the drummers. A couple of you wondered what we sound like. Below is an example of the last thing we did today...I loved it! We were really in a groove. Be sure to turn off my music so you can feel it!
We arrived by 1 and left at 4:15...That's a long time to be drumming. The sun was going down and I headed home to start dinner and do chores.
We had a salad with apples, pears, dried cranberries, walnuts (from our trees), crumbly blue and Italian Dressing.
Asparagus was on sale today, so we had some of that.
Seeing that Jenny joined us, I made turkey stroganoff and served it over noodles. (She is not a beef eater).
We ate like lumberjacks.
That's it.
Night all.
Thanks for the post today it was sweet I love the drumming tape. I liked the cats as well. XXX Don

Sounds like a wonderful day, Lori. I have a lot of catching up to do. Can't wait to see what you've been up to.
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't eat like lumberjacks with such food before them?
ReplyDeleteI am really curious about the leaves. So many!! Is that for protection if/when you get snow? Does he leave them there to decompose and the garlic grows up through them? Maybe I could try the same technique to winter over some stuff.
