Chalk up another one...these shots were taken a little after 7:30am. |
Let me introduce you to Christopher Martin. We have known him all his life and he grew up with our girls here in Brockport. This morning he called before I went out, to borrow a ladder... as he is painting a house on South St.. He is one interesting kid (man). He completed his MFA at Ohio University where he also taught in the Theater Department (theater history and acting). Over the past several years he has been acting in plays all over the country...he said he is always cast as the bad guy.
Many years ago he was in a movie that premiered in Rochester and we had the pleasure of being there.
What a gas! In January he will be starting a three month run in a new play and in the meantime he is picking up odd jobs. He just finished two months welding at the Navy shipyard. You might say he has many talents. He used to play drums in a band and just happens to have a djembe. I think I've got him interested in participating in our drum jam and the open drumming at the college. He has a wife and beautiful daughter that we have yet to meet.
Ran through chores quickly...chorus day.
The dogs came with me...the kittens sunned themselves in the back yard.
If I do say so myself, our rehearsal was pretty darn good this morning. We finally got through the Gershwin Medley (25 pages).
Afterward we went downstairs (the Senior Center) where they were having a free lunch put on by Flash. I helped serve...
There were 150 people attending. |
We did a singalong with them. |
This is Rikki. After working at a different assignment she was finally brought back to the Center. |
When I got home Sid and Seymour were still sunning themselves.
I invited them into the house and they were happy to oblige. In the meantime I had the chills and put the heat on. Nothing sounded better than a nap.
They all joined me. I made a quick dinner and went out to do the chores. No rest for the wicked when you have animals.
Took two shots in the dark and in the house for the duration. Time for a cupa tea.
Night all.
wow you have a busy life! This weather is truly unbelievable nice! Enjoy it, I sure am =)
ReplyDeleteVery true about animals...you can't just decide to take the day off and lay in bed. The same with having kids! :) Hope you got to bed early and are rested in the am.
ReplyDeleteOh no! So sorry you're under the weather.
ReplyDeleteCan't get enough of the cuddling kittys! Too cute!
Nice sky photos. You know how I love them. I haven't had time to sing with a group since I moved. I miss it.
ReplyDeleteYour animals are very very very lucky.
