When I let the dogs and kittens out in the back yard it looked normal.
Once again, Barb was here to help me. There is not a more thoughtful person out there. I had started to feel better and could have done it myself. Gary even came back from coffee early to give me a hand. There are not a handful of days I can think of, when I did not go out to do chores no matter what...30 years worth.
Anyway, Barb came into the barn and said "you better get your camera." Here's what it looked like.
A great opportunity for taking pictures...and it wasn't Friday!
To the North and West, the sky was getting very dark.
Pretty soon the light started to change.
It turned grey and the winds were getting stronger.
All this between 8 and 8:45. Let's see what the rest of the day brings. As soon as I got back in the house it rained for about 5 minutes...then stopped.
This cold has given me a different appetite and I seldom if ever eat breakfast. Had two poached eggs, and an English Muffin with PB & J, and a glass of OJ. If I could just stop coughing! At least my head is not so plugged up. More later.
Around 11:30 I had to go to the bank, but after that it was back to veg time. Gar had a nice fire going, I grabbed a cupa peach/apricot tea and did zero.
My buddies joined me....
A little before 6, I went out and picked the back pasture before I fed the horses. Fortunately the weather was not outrageous today.
The ponies were happy to go in....
It was pretty dark when I got back to the house.
I had some beautiful red peppers starring me in the face, so I made some sauce using them and a little red wine (this afternoon). I could just about taste it when we ate...must be getting a little better.
I'm not good at hanging out.
Night all.
Beautiful pictures of the skies and the farm. We had miserable fog and rain all day here. Hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Got to love those stormy skies. Especially with all of that color! Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love those cloud photos! Seems as thought stormy weather is making the rounds. Hope you are rid of that cold soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a bit better - colds are the worst. Great sky pictures!

ciao ciao elvira
Glad you're feeling better, but it sounds like you still have a ways to go. Take care of yourself, Lori.
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures! At least you had some rain and a good breakfast. Keep healing.
ReplyDeleteLovely skyshots Lori. I'm sorry you've been off-colour. It's surprising how world-wide this fluey cold seems to have been. We've both had it. It seemed to last three or four days, then when we felt nearly over it, a second shorter dose set in. We are over that now, and hope you soon will be too.
ReplyDeleteLove, Mike and Ann.
Sorry to hear you have not been well. Hope you improve soon. I love the light on the two white horses/ponies. Sorry I'm not clued up with farm animals.
ReplyDeleteWhen do you get snow? It is finally dumping pretty good here today. I hope you are up and running soon. Not like you to hang out on the couch.
