Good morning cats and dogs!
Barb was in the barn before I got out there. It was nice and cool and we sailed through chores.
We decided to ride at 10:30 and then I got a call from Brenda...she wanted to bring up her new Scottie puppy. Tootsie Louise.
She has greatly altered the lives of her masters. What a cutie.
I have the feeling that this puppy has them wrapped around her little paw.
She and Berlin had a stare down out in the indoor.
Barb rode bareback and I didn't. Used a hackamore on Berlin and she was excellent.
Checked on Seymour and Sid ... they were playing in the feed room.
Took a shower and went down to Country Treasures to get another bead to finish off my bracelet. I wanted to use some of the money Jen gave me to buy something before it all went to groceries or some other such thing. Do you do that?
I am so hooked on these bracelets. Got them for Steph, Jen, Ariana and Daniela. The beads make perfect gifts for birthdays etc.
Main Street was lookin' good.
There's no doubt about it. When the college is in session, things perk up (so does the traffic).
I needed to get gas for my car and had to drive by Once Imagined.
So today I dropped in again. They have been sent lots of flowers by wellwishers and have had 3 openings.
They must be getting pretty tired by now.
The carving on this piano (from London) was exquisite.
Got home and Barb (did chores tonight) was giving King Mustafa a bath out in the grooming room. He was loving it.
I made a simple supper. Veggie burgers, potato salad and I cut corn off 3 cobs that were leftover.
Also had some fresh cucumber pickles (and tried one of Gary's homemade dills).
We watched a Swedish movie and then I went out to take the horse's masks off. Took a few shots in the dark.
A pretty simple day. Ahhhhhhh.
Night all.
I'm surprised you don't ride more for all the work you do taking care of the horses. I guess they must be your friends as much as anything.
ReplyDeleteI love that shop. So many interesting things in it.
A simple day indeed, and the way I like them; I'm glad you had anice day! I really like your "Main Street," it's really too bad that they don't make them like that anymore!! I hope your Sunday is an equally enjoyable day!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, there's the man -- Mr. King Mustafa! What a handsome fellow. It's going to be a beautiful few days. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteJewellery or grocery ???
ReplyDeleteNever ask of money spent
where the spender thinks it went.
Nobody was ever meant,
to remember or invent
what he did with every cent.
Your poet (i.e. American) Robert Frost.
Cheers, Mike.
What a lovely colourful Main Street.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the Swedish movie, I wonder?
Masks on the horses??
