TAKE IT EASY...SORT OF...

Another beautiful morning. Barb has been beating me to the barn the past two days! While we did chores, Seymour and Sidney played in the Grooming Room. When I went to get them they were already outside, playing in the vines right near the door. Fortunately they stayed right there. I don't know how they escaped.

Once again I tried to get them to walk through the paddock with me, but they were more interested in playing in the run in.

When we got back to the house, they went out in the back yard with Phoebe and Gucci (who are still being very kind and even try to play with them).
I had planned on going straight over to Apple Creek Farm to mow the lawn, but they were spraying the apple trees and I waited until 1pm.

The apples are starting to get much bigger now, even have some red on them.

Drove through the village. Jo has put a little tent out in front of her shop and is serving dinners.
Last night she had a good crowd. Today the Art Festival started and they moved it to the College as Main Street was supposed to be torn up (and now it isn't). This is a huge event and draws thousands and thousands of people. Gary will be volunteering there tomorrow and I will get some photos. This year they are having a Sanctioned BBQ contest with people entering from all over the place. They also have over a dozen bands.
Swung by the Welcome Center...I'd say there were at least 10 boats there.

Gary spent the afternoon and evening working in the Studio Barn. It is really shaping up....I love the new windows.
By tonight, he had this last section insulated and filled in.
The building is 15 x 19 and will be an outstanding space. My class will love it and we will be spending a lot more time out there.

My brother was supposed to come up today, but didn't make it (fishing tournament). I made dinner and we watched "It's Complicated." If you have not seen it...DO. It was great. It was Barb's night to do chores, so I took a shower and put on PJs....will have to cover up with a sweatshirt when I go put the ponies in.

Took a few shots in the dark when I went out to take off the horse's masks. They were waiting for me in the indoor...their favorite spot in the evening.

It was dark when Gary finished working...there are hundreds of black eyed Susans over by the Studio Barn.
I definitely took it easy today.

Night all.
