Up and at 'um. Same old same old....
The pups were ready to go back in the house before I even started on the stalls.
I had most of them cleaned before Gary got back from Java to help me (chorus day).
The ponies ate in the front paddock as the snow started spitting.
Got in the house with enough time for a quick shower.
Arrived at rehearsal right at 10.
Yes Mike, we are still plugging away with Loch Lommond. Maybe a little better than last week.
Not one of our better days.
On the way home I stopped at Wegmans to pick up a few things....saw Jack R. and invited him and Louise to dinner.
When I walked out of the store it started snowing like crazy! Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the dogs went out with me to open the indoor up for the horses.
Of course they preferred to stand out in the paddock.
...got back in the house and started working on dinner.
I parboiled some tomato/basil/chicken sausage, then browned it.
Sauted some peppers and onions for the sauce.
At the same time, made some homemade croutons.
Added our homemade sauce to the peppers and onions...threw in the sausage.
Look what I got at the store for $2.49. It made the whole kitchen smell sweet.
Set the table and crashed on the couch for an hour before going out to do chores.
Look who went into the indoor and rolled her brains out!
There was very little color in the sky today...the temperature might have hit the high 20s.
Put the ponies in for the night and got in the house by 5:30.
We had a cozy fire going.
Finished up the dinner preparations as Jack and Louise were arriving at 6.
Invented a new salad tonight. Romaine, sweet onion, 1 green apple, craisens, crumbly blue, homemade croutons, 3 pieces of bacon crumbled and Good Seasons Italian Dressing (balsamic vinegar).
Louise brought asparagus.
The pasta was the thin whole grain variety topped with sauce and sausage.
A little red vino....
How could I forget to take a shot of the dessert? A scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with homemade hot fudge, toasted pecans and whipped cream. Off the charts.
Finished up with a cupa tea (as Lynda would say).
So now it is time to call it a day.... night all.
Your little pups are so cute in their jackets and your horses are marvelous.

Snow, horses, dogs, and find company for dinner. Lori, you sure know how to live. Well, maybe snow doesn't belong on the list.
