6AM ... 24 DEGREES WARMER THAN YESTERDAY AT 6AM

I could not believe my ears when I turned on the weather report this morning. -4 yesterday!

Got out to the barn a little earlier today...have to get into '"hustle" mode for tomorrow morning so I can be ready for chorus at 10am.

Gucci and Phoebe were ready to go in the house by 8:15.

Once again the skies were very dramatic...

I decided to open up the outdoor arena today...there was a lot of snow over the ice.

Fed the horses in the front paddock...if it weren't for the wind, it would have felt like a heat wave.

By early afternoon it was very clear and bright.

The dogs were in and out all day.

After lunch, I picked up Deb T. and we drove over to Christina's World for some instructions from Roger. She bought a new Mac Laptop a couple of weeks ago and was ready to learn how to get going on it. Roger (being the techie guru for this side of the city) had things set up in no time. We even uploaded 280+ photos to iPhoto.

DJ was looking his usual beautiful self.

Tina relaxed....did a little reading. The kitty was keeping her lap warm.

A beautiful stone wall runs in front of their property next to the road. Many other neighbors have done the same...very impressive.

Home a little before 4pm and the dogs were happy to get out....AGAIN.

They got into a little wrestling match....

Gucci finally said "uncle."

Out at 5 to do chores and pick the front paddock. By now it was snowing again.

I'm loving night shots....

They don't look real....

Before going to the barn, I had set the table and prepared everything for a stir fry. Madonna was coming up for dinner.

I made chicken (carrots, onions) and snow peas served on homemade lomain.

Madonna brought a fruit salad. For some reason, we love fruit with Chinese food.

It was delicious....

Almost time to hit the couch. Have not had a chance to sit in front of the fire today.
Night all.

  1. Lovely colourful food, Lori. As Great Gran would say "Ten out of ten for presentation".
    Cheers, Mike.

  8. I just love the new colors on your blog:) I guess the weather is improving everywhere! Stone walls like that are very common where my Mum was born. I absolutely love the pictures with the snowflakes: how did you do that?? It looks like it's from a fairy tale. The dinner looks yummy - I don't eat meat, but I'd eat everything else :-))
