Every year the Morgan Manning House holds a huge sale of handmade articles on the first weekend in December. Tina and I went down at 11 and the place was packed.
The weather was perfect compared to past years.
This year they had a lot of wreaths and greens out on the front porch (which was a perfect place to display them).
Sara was greeting everyone at the front door.
I attempted to take a lot of photographs ....
You can buy anything from mittens to ornaments to....
hats
to homemade candles...pillows...placemats...
original art...
jams and jellies....candy, cookies, real maple syrup
scarves and sweaters.
Kathy and Deanna are very involved in the organization of this event...it is a huge undertaking!
Here is a carving by our friend Al Cretney...he brought 18 to sell and I'll bet they are all sold by now.
There are two going out in a basket now!
Margay was there, and is always supportive of local events.
We have several bowls by Ed Lehman, who made the one below.
Every year they sell out these dried spiced oranges.
A heavenly scent.

set up in all the downstairs rooms of this gorgeous historical home...
When it was time to check out, there was a line of over 50. A real success story.
The holiday season has arrived...

ReplyDeleteWhat a Grand and very Beautiful home! I love those large historic homes...we have many here and when they have such fares inside to sale...ouu lala! Very tempting! I love hand made goods. The carved birds were gorgious and also I liked the woolens.
ReplyDeleteNice even Lori, really loved peering through your lens!
Thanks,
KK
