No beautiful sky pictures this morning. It started off near 60 with light sprinkles so the hay went under the shed roof. Gary helped me with chores so I was done in no time...I am so glad that it's going to be lighter out there tomorrow morning. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight.
The grass is hanging in there...short but green.
and yes...we have puddles in the big pasture.
Just one little daisy left out there.
At 11 am I drove over to a friends house and passed field after field of dry corn...
Appropriate for Halloween.
We headed over to a riding stable on the other side of town...
and met Panache...
before we went out to lunch at the Peach Cafe. There were six of us and the food was great (as a matter of fact, there will be no dinner tonight).
On my way home I took the back roads. It is not uncommon to see these signs posted (this one is not far from our farm).
What a vacation day...when I got home, I called Jenny to see what the plan was for tonight with the boys and trick or treating...needed to get some pictures.
So Gar and I headed into Brockport.
Are these kids cuties or what?
The six of them started out with a pizza dinner at Jen's, then hit the streets with the three Dads.
Jen had candles lit in the dining room that added to the spirit of things.
By 6 they were ready to go.
I have a feeling Finn and Cooper had something to do with this pumpkin carving.
Buster scouted out all the activity...
Gary entertained the dogs while Jenny got set up for candy distribution. In her neighborhood it is common to get a couple hundred kids.
By now the temperature dropped and it was very windy. The boys put more clothes on under their costumes.
They were trying to give me the look.
On the way back to the farm, the sky started looking a little more interesting.
Lucky for me, Trina (and Justine) did chores tonight.
Now, I am going out in the kitchen to sit by the fire and watch a movie. Night all. Tomorrow I am riding Berlin with my new bitless bridle.
Great photos of the kids in Halloween get up! Looks like you had a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Hallowe'en! Great photos as usual. Your sky looked like the sky we had all day, but it was positively balmy down here in PA (70!). Just the thing for teh spooky flu. Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori and Gary. Looks as if you had great fun on Halloween. 31st October is also Nea's birthday, so I hope they did, too.
ReplyDeleteRegards, Mike and Ann.
Great shots. Loved the carved pumpkins and trick or treaters, too cute!
ReplyDeleteHow fun it would be to tromp through leaves rather than snow for Halloween. Have fun riding Berlin!
