This past Saturday I went out to Glen Darach Farm for my lesson with Abbe. She had been there since Thursday morning and for two days she did not behave herself very well. When I got there she was running around the pasture as Andrea was putting the horses in their stalls.
A big storm was on the way...and me with a lesson!!!
We started with line driving, went on to poles and then hooked her up to my cart. She was like a different horse. More relaxed in the neck and able to maintain a decent jog. Just when we hooked her to the cart the heavy rains, thunder and lightning arrived. She was a trooper. Darrin moved the trailer into the indoor to load her when it was time to go home as the lightning was so bad (I know, I described this earlier). When it stopped, we left for home.
Look at that Abbe pony go! She does like that job huh!Nice work, and very glad that the activities overhead did not cause too much trouble for you!

Lori, I don't know if you are "into" blogger awards, but I have thought about your blog in combination with the "honest scrap" award.. it's waiting for you to pick it up at my blog, if you like ;-)
Greetings from Skåne (Sweden)

Abbe is a beautiful horse and what a good girl. Glad you had an uneventful lesson with the weather being uncooperative, that could have been interesting.
ReplyDeleteI always hated when I had a riding lesson and it rained and got windy. So loud on a tin roof! At times you can't hear what you're supposed to be doing. Sounds like you and Abbe are back on track?
