WHERE DO I BEGIN?

When our grandkids are visiting, my days are non stop.  It was a beautiful morning, and before I went out to do chores I wiped out the hot tub and started filling it with water so the kids and I could start using it.  WRONG!!!!  After a couple of hours, the water kept leaking out....I took off the cover and discovered that the heater had a break in it and the water was coming out faster than I was putting it in.  So, I called the service department where I bought it and found out that to replace the heater would be at least $500...and that is if nothing else is wrong.  Last year the pool, this year the hot tub.  We have not been using it, so I am selling it to someone in the service department and it will be out of here tomorrow night....just not worth it.  Now I have two things that I am going to miss terribly.  Christina's world has a pool, and this summer I am going to find it.

If it is Tuesday, I am going to meet with my class.

Connie is still working on her study of pears in watercolors.  I am going to have to post her series...they are spectacular.

Tina has finished her colored pencil drawing of Izzy.

Dick has made a lot of progress with his first acrylic painting.

Marcia is giving abstraction a shot.  She has discovered that is not as easy as it looks.

Joan returned to class today and is back to work on her colored pencil drawing.

Sandy is starting a new pastel drawing of Tina's horse, Sunshine.

Sue doing well with her watercolor of the cat and mouse.

Jenny took the four kids to the Strong Museum today.  When they got home they all went out to the barn to ride the pony.  Pony (Babe's Opal) is 29 years old and has been giving kids rides since she was 3.  Jenny was only 11 when she backed her.

All four of the kids worked on her at the same time.

Finn usually is only happy riding Target, but today he finally rode the pony.

Coop waited for his turn.

At first he was a little worried, but he ended up doing well.

I was in the house working on dinner while Ariana and Daniela rode.  Did not get out there fast enough to get some shots.

The Pon was duded up for the afternoon.

After a dinner of Philly steak sandwiches, roasted regular and sweet potatoes, coleslaw and dill pickles made by Gary and Randy...the games began.  Sequence and Scrabble.

It rained from 5-7pm, and then the sun came out.  The sky was dark but the light was great for picture taking.

Did I mention that Ice joined us today?

The birdbath filled with rain water (not cleaned yet).

I'm going to have to name this bird.  He's about 4 1/2 feet tall and sits in a garden by our driveway.  Got any suggestions?

The rain has things looking pretty good.

We are supposed to hit the 70's by the weekend.  If that happens, these little umbrella plants will end up being two feet high.

I'm really loving shadows on the barns.

Tonight Daniela beat the pants off her Grampa two times in a row when they were playing....what else...Sequence.

In the meantime, Finn, Coop, Ariana and Jenny were relaxing in the kitchen.
