DOWN BY 30 DEGREES....I'M FREEZIN!!!!

No beautiful sunrise this morning....the difference in the temperature between the ground and the air gave us some fog.
Yesterday's heat brought about more blossoming.

After chores, I packed a bag of warmer clothes for Ariana and Daniela and drove them down to Jenny's.  It's hard to believe they were playing in cold water yesterday.  Anyway, I got to meet Buster Brown.  He is just as cute as his photos, and is getting along well with Ice.

(Gucci and Phoebe were out at the barn with me earlier today.  It was very windy).

Starting on Thursday, Sankofa (African Dancing and Drumming Ensemble) was presenting it's end of the year performance.  I never miss it.  Thought it was next weekend and because it was sold out I could not get tickets.  Ironically, the son of the director of Sankofa called to invite us to a dinner after the performance, and I told him I could not get tickets.  He said we could get in for the second half of the performance if we could get there in 20 minutes.  I picked up Ariana and off we went.  What an amazing experience!  She has never seen anything like it.
Back to Jenny's and then home to do chores, get cleaned up and make a salad.  While I was in the barn, Clyde (son of the Director of Sankofa) and his family stopped in so the kids could see the horses.  Next trip to Brockport, I want them to have a chance to ride Pony.

We were home by 7:15 and I went out to tuck the horses in for the night.  Everytime I take photos in this barn there are orbs in the pictures.

First, we had to separate the letters as we had two games and they were all mixed up.

Then, the game began....

Jenny couldn't get a vowel...

Ariana was duking it out Grampa for the top score...

Daniela was entertaining us.....

She and Grampa were saying...."howyadoin??????"

They thought they were pretty funny.
That's a wrap for today.

  6. Tell Jenny that having ALL vowels is worse than having no vowels, partly because it's nearly impossible to get a decent scoring word when you've got only vowels in hand, whereas if you've got no vowels it's usually possible to score well, using the vowels already on the board,in my experience. It's a great game, isn't it?
    Regards, MIke.

  7. Crazy weather! You're freezing and we're boiling hot. I love the photos of the girls - really beautiful and great with Grandpa! Is the African drum group local or do they tour around? I love that kind of thing.

  8. Ohhh, I'm jealous of your hyacinth! I only had one come up this year. :( Irises are my favorite overall, but nothing smells better than hyacinth.

  12. The flowers are beautiful...popping up everywhere! I bet the show was awesome. I wouldn't mind going to more events such as that, but they are so expensive and I have so many kids to take! We have free concerts in the park in the summer. I'll have to make a point to take the kids. I imagine you would be doing the same.
