HO-HUM....

This day was as exciting as the grey sky, and I was not motivated to take very many pictures!
There was no beautiful sunrise, so I didn't do anything about that...It was snowing instead of raining when I went out to do chores, so on went the horse's sheets.  As you can see, my assistants were with me.  Mademoiselle (Monkeeee) Gucci was climbing the hay bales in the feed room.
She was only a few inches from the ceiling.

As if that wasn't high enough....

She went higher and her ears did hit it.

What a view.

"I just know there is a mouse under that hay bale."

"Come on Phoebe!"

"You have got to be kidding!  There's no way I can jump the way you do...."

So we finished up the stalls and the horses wandered back to the inner pasture.

Had to go to the Town Hall to finish paying for our town and county taxes, then we stopped at Tractor Supply to pick up three bags of hay cubes.  It's like clock work!

We got three barrels of shavings from a local woodworker, so I spread that in the stalls.  Got things ready for evening chores and went back into the house to start on dinner.

The sky was a little more interesting than it was this morning.

I started roasting some potatoes, carrots and onions in the oven...made a salad and went out to let the horses in.  Gary had grill duty.

I am happy to say that the next week is supposed to be in the 50s.  Need to start working Abbe everyday.

  1. Lori & Gary,
Rain or shine it's grill time! Roger's been out there these last two evenings! Can't believe I'm seeing him outside. ( even during March Madness.)
We'll have to get together soon to celebrate the season. I'm soooo ready !
