THE STORM MISSED US!!!!

The morning started out in the mid 20s with a little sun.

Gary helped me finish chores so I could be down to the village for a 10:30 haircut.  A quick stop at the Senior Center and back home again to get ready for class.

These violet photos are for Esther, at Ishtar's Ark in Niger!  This is what the Northern Desert looks like today.

THE SKOOG FARM WORKSHOP met today.  My goal is to get them to do a watercolor without drawing first.  ...understated....not overpainted.  Those who worked on the exercise did a great job.  We will continue to do this while they develop their painting skills.  My students don't always work on the same projects, but that's ok...all have the opportunity to stretch in whatever direction they want.  Tina (of Christina's World) is working on a drawing of Izzy from Bedlam Farm, but I didn't get a good shot of it.  Connie is going to unveil next week.  What a group of people...I am so lucky!

Donna.....

Marcia......
Joan......

Dick....

Rudy.....
Sandy.......

Jean...Her grandson commissioned her to do this pen and ink drawing.

Rudy....Check out the beautiful tree leaves and weeds.

Rudy again...he is trying to simplify his paintings, and is one of the reasons we are doing the bird exercise.

Rudy always picks difficult subject matter....but, he's getting it!!!  A very productive class today.
