We got there at 6:30 and the table was jammed with lots of good things...nachos....
a beautiful green salad....
6 bowls of wings with different sauces....
Lots of fruit...(the watermelon was so sweet....) veggies, blue cheese, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera
...oh yes, cheese and crackers, little sandwiches, artichoke dip...A table fit for a king.
I have to say that my wing sauce turned out great. It was quite a mixture of ingredients! TANGY.
Lots of things to drink for adults and kids....
Finn gave me one of his fake smiles....
Parents and kids were all over the place....
Their dog seemed to enjoy the company! Managed to get some tasty tidbits.
At half time everyone got their special 3-D glasses on for the commercials. Don't they look cute?
This is Char. She lives near Jenny and they walk many mornings a week. Looks like a good sport to me!!!
The game is still going on, and it looks like Pittsburgh is going to hold the lead.
I think the kids had more fun than the adults...
This is one beautiful child!
Out in the kitchen, we were watching "the Boss" for one of the better performances at the Super Bowl (our humble opinion). Classic, not too much plastic and glitz....solid music and VERY well received.
Jenny and Gary were getting a little carried away...
Isn't Bruce great???? Look at him...how old is he?????
Good show.
So... Gar and I reached our saturation point with food and all the kids and went home for a quiet second half. Tomorrow we will have to fast...
Bruce is 59. We looked it up at halftime! I can't believe you got these pictures up already! My goodness, you are productive! I don't know who you were rooting for but I am disappointed. I wanted the Cardinals to win because the Steelers play dirty. And they had it in the bag. Can you believe they lost? They deserved to loose after that sorry-a** last two minute performance. Blah!
ReplyDeleteGreat game! I felt duty-bound to root for Pittsburgh beause, even though they are on the left coast of the state, they are still in PA. But, in my heart of hearts, I had to SHOUT when Fitzgerald made that cool touchdown. Harrison's long, long run was outstanding, but tarnished with his ridiculous fight on the field. Bah! Ah, 'til next season ...
ReplyDeleteWe were cheering for Arizona all the way. Even our high-fiving and dancing around the house couldn't help them. We are definitely of the opinion that the Boss and his half-time show was the best one as long as we can remember. Just good old fashioned rock 'n roll. Loved it! Your party looks like a lot of fun. Hubby wants to host a party next year when the livingroom is done. We'll see.....
ReplyDeleteGreat game
ReplyDeleteLori, it looks like you had a wonderful time & the food ... wow, what a spread ! Your wing sauce sounded interesting, too :)
