BUSY DAY....

A clear and dry morning....started out at about 10 degrees....no snow and a beautiful sky.

The ground was frozen so the paddock was very rutty.  Fed the horses their hay out in one of the pastures.  Can you see the goose flying above them?

By the time I finished, the temperature went up to 20.  Gary helped me with chores so I could get to a 10 o'clock meeting at the Senior Center.  Once again, the moon was still out.

The meeting at the Center went very well and it looks like things have a good chance for improvement.  Too bad it didn't take place 9 months ago.  At any rate, I am encouraged.

Class today.  It is always nice to spend time with my students.  Many are on new projects and as you can see, they are in progress.

Connie has started a pencil drawing of cows....

Rudy has started a watercolor....

Lydia is working on a pastel drawing....

Tina is doing a portrait of DJ (who is in the photo below).

Sandy is working on a very large watercolor of a horse....

Dick is doing a collage of sorts with photographs and paper weaving..."Snow Birds"...get it?

ORANGES......found at Apple Creek Farm.

Tonight we were invited there for dinner.  The Christmas tree was set outside the dining room window on the porch, providing a great view inside and out.

What did we have for dinner?  A pork roast with scalloped potatoes, steamed asparagus, homemade applesauce, crusty rolls, a salad of mixed greens with red onion, red peppers, pears, crumbly blue cheese and a wine blush dressing (that's what I made)...and I forgot to take a photo of the dessert.  Vanilla ice cream topped with carmel sauce, pecans and whipped cream!
Decadent....There has been a lot written lately about the impact happiness can have on your health...sharing a meal with good friends is one way to accomplish
this.
