FROM 7:30 TO 9:30

Once again it is chorus day and I can't seem to get my ducks in a row...a lot to do before I leave.
I try to set up the evening hay and water after I do morning chores, but now I can't do the buckets until late afternoon so they don't freeze.  Ooopps!  and I just remembered that I did not cover the water trough...it is supposed to go down to the teens tonight so I will have to turn on the water heater tomorrow morning.  I find that if a piece of plywood is over the trough, it thaws much more quickly in the morning.  Guess I'll have to go out in the snow.  Many adjustments have to be made regarding soaking beet pulp and hay cubes when it is this cold.   Now I do both in the house so they don't freeze for the morning feeding.
