THE REBIRTH OF PHEBE....

                                               Ed Hamilton

                                                          Eric Scott

Today I went over to the Colby Street Garage to paint the eyes on Phebe.  May I say that she looks absolutely mavalus!!!!  The shop owner, Ed Hamilton and an employee, Eric Scott, put in about 120 hours sanding, priming, painting, touching up, resanding, sealing etc.  Prior to that, she spent several weeks at the shop of Jack Mazarella where she was put back together with fiberglass.  This process took nearly 150 hours!!!!  She is in much better shape now than she was when we bought her!  With 200 pounds of cement in her legs, she is much more stable.  As if that is not enough, a local business (Monroe Sealfast) donated over $350 worth of paint.  This is among the finest examples of community service and we can't thank these people enough.  The unveiling will take place on Saturday at Septemberfest.

  2. Clearly there is a story here that I've missed. Tell? Link? Please?

    She's beautiful.

And it doesn't hurt that she looks like about 800 pounds of chocolate...
