Gary (my husband) was the chairman of this event, and today things were looking pretty good. If you had to find a classical celebration for the Fourth of July, this would be it. Bill Andrews, the man who knows everything about the history of Brockport, read us words from past celebrations (as in the 1800s). Brendra Trombley, from the local PBS station, read us the Bill of Rights, and John Izzo and company interspersed relative music. Today was a lot more than hot dogs and popcorn...we are very lucky to live in a community like this one. We even had a "cake walk." Do you know what that is?
Please pardon all the pictures...I wanted everyone to show up in the Journal today.
