This sweet gelding is 29 years old this year. Our kids were at a 4-H friends house when he was born, and little did we know that 18 months later he would become our first horse. He is Mr. Mischief, and can't wait for you to leave a gate open so he can run around the yard and dig deep holes. Fortunately this has not happened very often. The first two years we had horses, we boarded them at a friends farm about 5 miles out of the village. When PC was just three, Jenny rode him (and I rode Shadow-our 2nd horse that passed away over 10 years ago) from that farm into the middle of the village...our house was near the college. We had to cross a high bridge that went over the Canal (it was metal, and you could see through the grating).
Quite an adventure. As he got older, Jenny took him to horse shows and rode English and Western classes. Except for an arthritic (and enlarged) front knee joint, he looks great for his age. I think he is enjoying his retirement.
The first two photos were taken this morning.
