I took a shower right when I got up and by 8am (in my night gown) rode my trike down the lane so Little Wonder could get in a walk before it got hot. At that time there was a nice breeze and the temperature was reasonable.
I had no desire to do anything. Watched the France/Spain soccer match while the fans kept us cool.
At least 4 or 5 people came to collect their garlic this afternoon. Gary spent a lot of time outside...don't know how he can stand it. He started taking out some potatoes just before dinner.
No cooking tonight. Went down to Perri's and got a pizza...on special tonight.
Right now the temperature in the living room and library is just about 85...
and it's supposed to be hot again tomorrow. Fortunately the kitchen is comfortable.
Night all,

The weather has gone crazy... already at 5:00 it was 21°C, during the day it was 33°C, it's terrible :(((
ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice day, not too hot!
I do my outside stuff just as it is getting light and before the sun shines into the valley.
ReplyDeleteI can still do quite a bit outside during the day as long as I can find shade. Now we have and air quality alert alongside the heat. The smoke from fires is coming to visit the Midwest.
As Val mentioned, we now have a smoke alert as well as extreme heat. Gary is made of much stronger stuff than I am. I wilt just stepping out onto the deck. I had to turn the AC on yesterday, the house was stifling. I feel so sorry for Europe, they have not needed air-conditioning and now it's as hot as it is around here.
ReplyDeleteI am visiting Oakland, CA. It was 78° yesterday - everyone is complaining about how hot it is (Eye roll!!) If only they knew what hot is really about! I don't look forward to going home and stepping out into the heat and humidity that makes it hard to breathe. Take care.
