81 degrees before noon. I started off the morning by putting new flowers on the kitchen table.
At 9:30 Little Wonder and I jumped in the car and drove out to Glen Darrach Farm to see Buddy. Cindy was there working on the stalls.
Hey Buddy!
He spends a lot of time next to his 30 year old girlfriend.
As you can see, he is looking better and seems very relaxed.
He's been checked out by the Vet, the dentist and has had his feet trimmed. Good reports.
It was hard to get a good photo and when I left he was chowing on some hay in his stall.
LW jumped back in the car and we were on our way.
Went to the village via Canal Road....some guys were fishing.
Stopped at the farm market and it was bare but
I picked up some cherries and asparagus. Ate too many cherries already.
Gary worked on the garden in front of the farm sign....still have to decide what flower will go there.
At 2:30 Jenny picked me up and I rode over to Rush with her to pick up a chair she had purchased. It took some doing to get it in the back of the car.
When I got home, there was a package waiting for me....from a long time blogging friend who lives in Maryland. She also has had horses most of her life and currently runs a riding program for kids. Anyway, we have been communicating off and on for years. It's amazing, what you can learn about each other when you have never actually met. She sent me one of the most beautiful messages I have ever received....brought me to tears. AND there were several goodies in the package...like this wind sock that just happens to be covered with Swedish horses.
How about these two items! Also just right for me! There was even more. She made my day, week, month!!!
I made an asparagus salad for dinner....
and Gary grilled burgers.
Simple and so good.
Night all.
PS
Stephanie and Joe went to the Algeria vs. Austria World Cup match last night and sent me this.
The ending was very exciting....tied 3/3 and both teams are moving on. Had to be quite an experience.

Oddly enough, your blog disappeared from my feed and so the only way I can find it is to look around and search now!
ReplyDeleteWell, good to see Buddy doing well.
Prepare for the heat, I assume it will head your way. :(
Buddy is looking good. How wonderful to have received such lovely gifts! There is a certain person who would eagerly claim the FIFA crowd as one of his rallies.
ReplyDeleteOh Sandra your last comment brought a chuckle to me this morning! Kathy
DeletePS--yours isn't the only blog that disappeared from the feed, so now I do more hunting to find updates.
ReplyDeleteOhh wonderful, kiss Andreja!
