This morning it was a chilly 45 degree start to the day. Fortunately the sun was out. I certainly did not get my motor running in the picture taking department.
Today was all about getting Buddy moved back to Glen Darach Farm. Cotton's mom tried to worm him, he was not cooperative and ran out of the barn. When she chased him, fell down and broke her wrist. Between that and a couple of other things, it was decided that he should move. Gary and I went over to pick up his tack trunk, brush boxes, grain, beet pulp etc. For a change, he was out in the pasture.
As you can see, he had lost a fair amount of weight.
Another change....and I feel sorry for him and for Cotton.
Fortunately he has lived at Glen Darach several times as his owner would go to Florida in the winter.
He seemed very comfortable when I got there.
Little Wonder went with me when I dropped off all of his stuff.
By the time we left it was 7:30.
Jenny, Alice and I will be going out for some spa days....especially during this transition.
Night all.

I hope with all my heart this will be the best move, and it will all work for everyone. Looks lie it was a sunshiney day !!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the pasture and the attention will get him back on the right track.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to know he will be properly cared for. This has to be confusing for him but at least he is familiar with his surroundings there. He needed to move.
ReplyDeletePoor Buddy. Poor Cotton. Poor Cotton's mom. How sad that all of these changes have to happen. Good luck for everyone, you included!
