The sunrise was beautiful.
Gary has been bringing more wood up to the porch. It got wet and he's trying to get it dried out. We did not start a fire today until late afternoon.
Since losing Rebel I have gotten so many messages and the sweetest cards. Appreciated.
Seeing that it was almost 44 today and the sun was out, I decided it was time to make a rare trip to the Mall to see if I could find a coat. I figured they would either be on sale or gone.
Little Wonder took a quick snooze while I took a shower.
I bet I have not been to the Mall in years. Just not a shopper and I have been living in barn clothes. For some reason today felt like the right time to get off the farm.
I found the perfect coat. 3/4 length with a hood and 50% off. When I got to the cashier, she took another 25 percent off and I got it for $79! Probably have not bought one in over a decade so it was worth it.
Hopefully Sidney will be spending more time outside as it warms up.
Had a little down time this afternoon and started on dinner.
Cooked cabbage with onions and carrots.....
and pork chops on a bed of onions and apples.
For a change.
Night all.

End of season shopping can be so worthwhile.I think it must be at least 27 years since I bought anything full price, that was for elder daughter's wedding. Warm here today we have 20C. Hooray.
ReplyDeleteI am not a shopper either. When I need something I usually make a dash into the store, rifle through the rack, and often find something just right in only a few minutes. Did you go to the Midtown Plaza
ReplyDeletein Rochester? I used to love going there as a kid...but it's all gone now.
It's been decades since I've been in a mall. You got a good deal on the coat. The sunrise was a beauty.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, good shopping job! I just purchased some winter insulated pants for hiking at over half off from the last time I got them. I get it about coats. The last time I was at a Mall it was with my grand daughter, we went to visit Barnes and Noble.

That sunrise was so beautiful!
