Sunshine! What an Upper!

That does not mean it was warm.

I loved seeing the sunshine on the horses.  It has been so cold.

The solar rays actually heated up the living room.
I watched a very sweet movie this afternoon.  "Eleanor the Great."
Chores at 5.  Rebel and Buddy made it outside the entire day.

I had some sauce and meatballs leftover and decided to turn them into Naan Bread open faced pizza/sandwiches.

Boy were they good!

Night all.

The Arctic

Just another cozy day on the farm....

Buddy and Rebel still wanted to be outside and they made it until 4:30.

By10:30 this morning the cold water pipe to the kitchen sink was frozen, tho it was fine at 8am.  The wind did it in and the sub zero temperatures did not help.  My trusty hair dryer eventually opened it up again.  At 11 I went out with some warm water to put the boys back in their suites... but didn't, as they were happy to keep eating their hay behind the grooming room.  I dumped the water into the water trough....the sun came out and I made a quick trip to Brockport. All I wanted to do was hang out by the fire.
Little Wonder
and Sidney joined me.
Chores at 4:45.  The boys had been out in frigid temperatures long enough.

I did not even start on dinner until I got back in the house,  Chicken cutlets topped with duck sauce and honey mustard....
and lomain with peas.
yum.....
Right now the temperature is 7 and it feels like -5.  We need to catch a break.
Night all.

In and Out

My morning started off with Little Wonder and Sidney.

Then it was time for chores.
Another freezing day.
It takes me a little over an hour to do everything.
Back in the house to do some laundry and grabbed a nice hot shower before picking up my new reading glasses and going to play bridge at the library.  It was windy and snowing like crazy by noon, so I chose to put Rebel and Buddy back in their suites so I would have to worry about them all afternoon.  Gary was kind enough to carry out some hot water.

We are going to get more snow and tomorrow is going to feel like -15 to -20.  I can't wait....

It took me awhile to get them in their stalls
as they finally discovered that there was a nice path to the indoor.

Once they were set, I drove to Brockport and the roads were getting covered with snow.  I had bad cards all afternoon and only played 1 hand.  Home just before 4:30 and turned the boys back out while I got their beet pulp and bran mash ready.

LW went back out with me to tuck them in around 5:45.

And now for tonight's colors.....

Night all.
