Pink and Blue

Very comfortable in the barn this morning.  Too bad the stalls were such a wreck with all the pee spots.

I decided to close them off during the day and will open them at night.  Put a couple flakes of hay in the run-in area as they were going to be spending a lot of time there once it warmed up.

By the time I was finished, a couple of guys were working on the native plant garden out front.  Quite a relief for Gary, to have some help.
Made a quick trip to Wegmans and stopped at Country Max for a new rake (for the barn).
Tried to take a few more photos that are being used to advertise the Garden tour.  So far they have put out 2 posts and they look great.
It's a jungle out there.
The front of the house never looked so good.

I sure hope some of this stuff is blooming by the 19th!

As per usual, Little Wonder set himself up near the window air conditioner.
A few years ago Stephanie got us this Chaise and it's always been out by the Studio.  Today I set it up on the porch off the kitchen and Gary now has a place for serious naps.
We split a sub for lunch (Wegmans) and were not hungry at dinner time.
Went out to do chores around 8.

Opened up the stalls for the night and picked half a wheel barrow of manure up from the run-in, where Rebel and Buddy must have spent the day.  By the time I finished, the sky was gorgeous.

Gary grilled us each a burger and some corn for dinner (which we did not eat until after 8:30).  Simple.
Night all.

PS
So what do you think is going to happen in the House?
I'm sure T is doing his best to threaten the holdouts.

  1. The gardens are beautiful. I need a Gary. It's very humid, dew point 73. No outside work for me today. It's likely the thing will pass, the knees seem to bend easy.
