A Very Slow Day

Grey, a little rain off and on and in the 50s.

Now every morning Buddy checks out Rebel's stall before heading out to the pasture.

Other than chores and a trip to Wegmans I sure did not accomplish much.  Little Wonder and I took it easy much of the afternoon.
I made a big bowl of pastas salad and Gary grilled some pork chops for dinner.
I went out at 8 and needed to wear a jacket.
Rebel and Buddy got rained on this afternoon and they both had a zebra pattern on their coats.

Got them tucked in and except for doing this post...took it easy again.
Oh yah....I found this photo of me.  It was 1966 and this was in the yearbook at the College's Campus Demonstration School where I was in my first year of teaching.  The dark ages......

Night all.

PS

A couple of days ago we lost one of our best friends...Randy Sundquist (after fighting Parkinson's for the past several years).  He and Gary both went to High School in Jamestown, NY and somehow they both ended up in Brockport.  For the past 50 years we have been hanging out together, making Swedish sausage for Christmas (korv) and dill pickles in the summer.  Many meals and lots of games.  His horse, Joe, lived here at our farm for many years until he passed in 2009.  Randy will be missed by many...the sweetest guy!

When Finn and Coop were younger, they were introduced to making korv and they thought it was pretty yucky....but gave it a shot.  Such memories.

Joe was a master driving horse and I had fun taking a couple dressage lessons on him.
