61 Degrees! I'll Take It!

It was beautiful all day long.

Warm enough for the boys to be naked.

After chores I went down to Wegmans and outdid myself.  It happens every time and I buy more than I went for.  Yoga was cancelled for Gary but he still had lunch with the geezers.

The daffodils in the kitchen garden are starting to pop through.
When Gary got home he started raking the yard. It's only about two acres and it's going to take him days!
My buddies and I had a nice, relaxing afternoon.

Earlier I marinated a big chicken breast and baked it for dinner.  Simple... with leftover rice, cooked carrots and applesauce.  This time we ate before chores.  Much better.
Went out to tuck the boys in around 6:45.  It cooled down and tomorrow they will need their sheets...in the 30s.

Night all.

PS
As the world turns!  So much is happening!  The drop in the stock market must really be impacting a lot of people from both parties.  No pity here for the Tesla downer... and I love that it's happening in Europe too.  Today Laura Trump said we should be kissing Ems feet for all the good things he is doing for our country.  I wonder how all the people who have lost their jobs feel about that.  The real stats on Social Security sure are interesting.  I have a feeling they are going to pause our checks to give us our hundredth scare.  What do you think?

A Busy Day

Plenty of sunshine coming our way....zippity doo dah!

40ish when I went out to the barn.
Rebel rolled right off the bat.

Back inside to check out my computer stuff around 9...

and at 10:15 Alice arrived for a Spa Day.

As soon as she brought Buddy in, Rebel went straight to his stall.

Here I am in my new glasses and messy hair.

Have you ever met a horse who could stand on his head before?  How does Rebel get mud there???

They each were groomed for an hour and had plenty of cookies.
By the time they were turned out it was almost 50 degrees and they were happy to be naked.

Buddy's Mom came over today.

Both of these boys came through the winter fat!  It's time to readjust their meals.

Gary and I spent a fair amount of time picking pastures today.  I'm so out of shape after winter hibernation.  It was 57 degrees and felt hot.

I took it easy until chore time.  Did not get out there until 7....it was still so nice and mild.

Rice and beans (leftover chili) for dinner with a nice salad.
Night all.
