Gimmeeabreak....

Stop sending the humidity!  Yikes!

Rebel was barefoot.  Had no bute for 24 hours and was putting weight on his foot, just a little gimpy.
After chores I picked the indoor (the boy's outhouse).  Little Wonder assisted.
Made a quick trip to the bank and Wegmans, then it was time for rehearsal.
Fortunately the air conditioner had the studio in good shape.  Little Wonder slept the entire time.
When everyone left I checked out the tomato plants in the North garden and also got a load from the raised beds.  The San Marzanos are so heavy, 3 of the cages were on their sides.  It's going to be a good year.
Picked cucumbers (totally out of control), tomatoes and green peppers (huge).
Gary grilled a couple small pieces of chicken that I put on top of our salads for dinner.
The lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red pepper, onions and beets were all from our gardens.  Topped all that with some feta cheese and homemade croutons.

Chores at 8:30.  It's getting dark earlier and earlier.

When I got back to the house, Gary was working on the puzzle we got at the Burlingame dinner.
Now that he started it, he can't leave it alone.
Little Wonder is under the fan in the living room.  These last two shots were taken in the dark.

Night all.

Banana Cream Pie

Another sunny and VERY muggy day.

After chores the first thing I did was to make a banana cream pie as I was having bridge here at 1pm.

Then, I cleaned the house and grabbed a shower before Hanny, Terry and Bobby arrived.  It was quite a contest today.  Lots of snacks followed by dessert.
They left around 5 and I took it easy for awhile.

Dinner was minimal.  Eggs and toast.
It started to pour and it wouldn't surprise me if we got an inch of rain in less than an hour.

I needed boots and an umbrella to go out to the barn.

It was almost dark by the time the boys were tucked in.  Now Rebel's mask is missing.
Night all.

57 Years

The mugginess has arrived and it knocks me for a loop.
Rebel had no boot on this morning and walked out to the pasture...can tell that he is not back to normal.

This was another Spa Day with Alice.  By 10am we were in the grooming room.
Buddy is so much more relaxed these days.  The grooming room is insulated so it's cool and there is a fan going behind them.  Had to feel great.

When it was Rebel's turn I soaked his foot in Epsom Salts.

He stood there like a champ.

We were finished by noon and went out to lunch.
At 1:15 the farrier arrived, checked his foot and trimmed it.  Could not find any heat or the sign of an abscess and he could put his weight on it.  She thinks he may have a bruise.

I left him barefoot and will decide what he needs tomorrow morning.
Around 3:30 I had an appointment with the massage therapist.  Needed it.
I felt so hot and tired by the time I got home.  Little Wonder and I took it easy.

Chores at 8:30.

Rebel was waiting in the run-in...it was pretty dark in there and he was near the fan.

Sitting in front of a fan while I am doing this.
Night all.

PS
Today was our 57th wedding anniversary....that's a long time!
