#7294 Chasing the Sunset

Not quite as hot as yesterday....we still need rain.

Mid morning Roz stopped up to get some flowers as
she and our good pal Randy are getting married tomorrow night!  We are so happy for them!

Seeing that we have been living under greenhouse conditions, our gardens are growing inches by the day.
Look at those beets!

All this is in our "kitchen garden."

We have beets, carrots, Brussel sprouts, eggplant, peppers and 4 tomato plants.  The rest is over behind the Studio.
A few potted herbs too.

We had a rehearsal today.  Tom has an extra amp four of us can hook into and we face it toward us so we can hear each other.  What a difference.

Little Wonder joined us for the entire session.

Gary and I went to the Holley Falls Bar and Grill for a quick sandwich.  No cooking tonight.
However, Little Wonder and I decided to chase the sunset.  It was not as dramatic as I hoped for.

Night all.

#7293 Still in the Zone

This outrageously high heat is getting old.  Over 96 degrees today.

While the other horses braved the heat and were out in the pasture, Berlin stayed by the fan and after lunch I tried to get her to eat the grain she left this morning
Poor Little Wonder continues to stick with me no matter how hot it gets.
I picked up some grain this morning and Gary dumped it in the cans for me.

I can actually see the crew working on the water line from our house now.
Major progress.

My friend Mary and I stopped in to catch up with a friend at 4:30 and I got home in time to get dinner together.  Picnic time again.
Keeping cool is what it's all about.
Night all.
