55 Degrees at 9:20pm and Tomorrow Is February 1st?????

 Off with the blankets!

And boy did they love it.

Eventually the sun came out but I was too lazy to grab my camera.

At 1pm I was down at A Different Path for the Sunday jam session.
Terry brought along her grandson to see if he liked it enough to start taking lessons
from Jim F., the leader of our group.
Today, the penny whistle added some dimension.
Always something new in the mix....that's what makes it so much fun.

I had chore duty tonight and went out early to clean up Abbe and Berlin.
They were all FILTHY and Karen was coming out later to take care of Maggie and Angel.
Need I say more?

 Look who is shedding.
Abbe was left with stains, but she looked a lot better by the time I tucked them in.

 Leftover pizza for dinner
and a salad with oranges, bananas, blueberries and craisins.
Tasted just as good as it did last night.
Night all.

Pizza! Pizza!

Another day of unusual weather.
There was snow on the ground when the girls went out for breakfast and it was pretty crispy.

Right after chores (in my barn clothes) I went down to Wegmans for a boatload of groceries.
Picked up some new tulips as the yellow ones bit the dust.

 Company for dinner tonight.
Jenny, Scott, Darlene and Greg.
By mid afternoon all the snow was gone and we must have been in the 40s.
Now it was much easier for the girls to find grass.

Started getting ready for dinner around 4:30.
Pizza was on the menu and my job was to make a salad, saute onions
 and mushrooms
and Gary grated a block of mozzarella cheese.
Jenny made the dough and we had enough for 4 pizzas.

Pesto, artichokes, goat cheese and tomatoes....
- onions, peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese

 -pepperoni, peppers and mozzarella cheese
 -peppers, onions and mozzarella cheese.

Darlene and Jenny were getting warm by the fire.

 Dinner was served at 7:15.

Every single pizza had a distinct flavor and all were superb!
We had some down time before dessert...
Jenny and Scott brought a chocolate cream pie.
A very relaxed evening with a lot of good conversation and several monologues by Gary.
By the way....Greg was one of my students when he was in High School and Darlene grew up in the Chautauqua area (where Gary and I are from).  Ironically, she went all through school with the daughter of Gary's best friend....Mike Lyons.  Small world.  How she met Jenny?  I don't recall.
We will have to do this again.
Night all.
