The Countdown

A grey morning and it was fine with me.

When I went out to pick the pastures, Seymour went with me and did a little climbing.

Gary picked a major load of Sunflowers, so I could prepare a basket for Jenny.
15 people going there for dinner to celebrate Scott's Mom's birthday.
A little after noon I drove down to Brockport so I could check out the Arts Festival (before our Sunday jam session).
It did not look like there were as many vendors as usual, but there was plenty of entertainment.

The Brockport Artists Guild had a booth.  Do you recognize any of the paintings on the left?
They were done by my student....Len.
During my short walk I ran into Neet and Hanny.  Fortunately it was not quite as hot as it was yesterday.

 Pups here and there.

 Look at that face!

There were only four of us at the jam today.  Two guitars, a bass and me with my baritone uke.
We sang many new songs, which I have to find on line and print so I can learn the words.
Love the variety.
 I made a bouquet for Donna...put together a salad...
and we were off to Jen's.

Scott grilled a ton of shish ke bobs!
We sat on the back deck and for a change....it was not too hot.

 We had a feast.

And celebrated with an ice cream cake.
Finn's birthday is in two days!  He will be 13!
Home a little after 7 and tucked the girls in.

The barn is starting to cool down a bit.

Now it's time to tune in to the Olympics.
Night all.

PS
When we got home there was a message waiting for me from Little Wonder's foster Mom.
He is growing, doing very well with his crate training and will fetch a ball.
She also said I am going to love him...such a sweet boy.
He weighs about 7 pounds now and is 12 weeks old.
My guess is that he will weigh a little less than Phoebe (17 pounds)...
unless he is part German Shepherd!!!!
I sure would love to know what he was crossed with....Yorkie and what?

Whatever he's crossed with, he's adorable. Could be ShepxYorkie - good guess! Those kebobs look amazing! And I'm ready to enjoy corn on the cob. It's been a cooler summer, especially nights and we're still waiting for tomatoes & corn.
