My Favorite Kind Of Weather....

A nice cool morning that turned into the 60s with little or no humidity and some wind.
 Perfecto!
Every single morning my girl is waiting for me to come through the paddock gate.

After chores I went to Agape and was so hot by the time I was half way through the elliptical/20 minutes I was dripping.  Started back on the treadmill...only 11 minutes and slower so I would not bug my good knee.  Cooled down for 20 minutes on the bike.  At least I was doing something.

They are getting ready to plant flowers around their signs.
I took a shower when I got back to the farm and thought there was a meeting at The Center.
Drove all the way down and found out it's next week.  Oh well.

The cooler weather makes me so much more ambitious.  Decided to make some deviled eggs for dinner.  See how blue they are?
I went out to the North garden to see if our one spinach plant (that made it through the winter) had any leaves to offer.  It did!  Look at that garlic!  It's at least 3 feet high and the scapes are starting to form.

Now that the sticky weeds are gone, the hostas have a much better chance of getting back to normal.  More rain will help.
All of these gardens were being strangled.
 Another great salad for dinner.
Spinach (from the garden), cherry tomatoes, a little celery, cucumbers, carrots, caramelized onions, crumbled bacon and topped with a little leftover antipasto that was sent home after we went to Helen and Mels (cheese, roasted red peppers, Greek olives and a couple pieces of salami)
...plus a few croutons.
Served it with deviled eggs and some grilled bread.  Really good!
We ate so early the sun was blasting into the living room and library
when I came in to write this post.

I'm starting a new book.  That will keep me busy for awhile.
Night all.

The garden looks great. I was wondering if you roast the garlic scapes?

Everything looks great! I think it's kinda funny that you say a book will keep you busy...you are the busiest person I know!
