Hot Hot Hot

Spinach is ready and it is gorgeous.
We also have more on the way, along with romaine lettuce.
This is what I picked this morning.
Gary continued working on the back garden before he had duty at the Welcome Center.
Mary and I went over to Tina's pool...my new favorite place.  Just may have to go there more regularly in lieu of an Agape visit.  The water was 83 degrees....tough to take.
I did a little hand mowing when I got back to the farm and went back down to the Sunday Jam around 1:30.
When I got home I attempted to read my book.
Only fell asleep 3 times!  Finally got up and started on dinner.
I made homemade lomain....
and stir fried a lot of veggies.
onions, celery, red peppers, carrots and lots of snow peas.
Before we ate, I decided to go out
 and feed the girls.
It was 80 degrees in the barn, but 12 degrees cooler than it was outside.
They were very happy to go in.
(Once it cools down, I go out and turn off the fan.)

I finished off the stir fry with a slightly sweet and sour sauce.
The salad...spinach from our garden, 1 plum, 1 nectarine and lots of strawberries with...
you guessed it....poppy seed dressing.
I need to do this more often, and so good for my vegetarian friends.
We did not finish eating until 8 o'clock.
The back yard has been transformed.  Tomorrow more flowers will be planted and then let it RAIN!!!!!
Night all.

You're right about the heat. Your "harvest" is really picture perfect, and reminds me again why I love this time of year!

That's too hot! Only in the low 80's here. Love the look of those strawberries and spinach. Good salad stuff. They make spinach, strawberry, walnuts,Gorgonzola and walnut balsamic dressing at a place here. It's good.

It's been a scorcher here also. My horses are pretty miserable because of the heat and the horse flies which seem to be overly abundant this year. Skin so soft has helped tremendously. Your garden looks great!
