Showered With Presents for Zoey

I can't tell you the last time I went to a baby shower.  It must be decades.
Well let me tell you....times have changed!
Today I went into Rochester with my friend Helen (soon to be a great-grandmother) and a few other friends and felt like I was on a movie set it Hollywood!  Wow!
It was held at Studio 180 and I felt like we were in a New York City loft.
Very industrial, but soft at the same time.

Mike's Mom and Sisters did a beautiful job with the decorations.
They are pros.
Shaina and Mike, the parents-to-be, are both in the food industry.
Chef Michael has a business called Chef's Catering and we met him at one of the Food Truck Rodeos at the Public Market in Rochester (recognized as the top Food Truck in this area).  Shaina also has a Food Truck...Effortlessly Healthy.  You had to know that this would turn into one delicious event.
When we walked through the door we were greeted by the dessert table.
ALL homemade by Mike's family members.

Between the venue and the decorations the energy level was just right.
They did not miss a trick....their baby girl is going to be called Zoey.
This is my friend Helen (this will be her first great grandchild)
and she is with her granddaughter Emma.
I've written about Helen before.  She is a well known painter and did the piece below for the baby.
 Below is Sandy, Shaina's Mom.
She does not look like a Grandmother-to-be to me!

I sat with Donna Ray and Joan.
Have you ever seen so many presents?  There must have been almost 80 people there.
 (Emma and Shaina)
Mike's catering company prepared the meal and it was some of the best food I have ever eaten!
Not only that, the presentation was outstanding.

And this is just part of it!
Green salad, shrimp, roasted vegetables, grilled pita bread, chicken with lemon aoli, fresh made gnocchi with squash and sage, gnocchi with pork belly in a marinara sauce and stuffed mushrooms.
Did I leave anything out?

It had to be overwhelming for these two!
In a few short weeks they are going to be very busy...as if they aren't
working to capacity now!
Of course I could not resist taking pictures of the space.

The owners of Studio 180 are both into photography and they sure have great taste
when it comes to the way they have decorated this space.

Rest time.
Night all.

I haven't been to a baby shower in a long while either. Times have changed since they were held at someone's house. Great place and food!
